An Oslo native, Hilde Egeland Nielsen has been singing all her life. The 1980s saw her complete no less than four solo albums and, as she puts it, she had a “great time” in the process.
But the best was yet to come: Hilde is a founding member of the Oslo Gospel Choir (OGC). She calls her time with the choir “the best 22 years of my musical life!”
The OGC has not only been a major part of Hilde’s life; it has also been a presence in her two children’s lives, as well – they literally grew up with the choir. Hilde and her husband now live in southern Norway, where she provides office support for a construction company, and feels very fortunate at the company’s understanding of OGC’s tour schedule. “I always look forward to singing with the choir, and to performing the wonderful songs Tore Aas, OGC’s founder has made!”
