Lise Brodal - Soprano

Lise Brodal has been a part of the Oslo Gospel Choir (OGC) for 23 years. This active mother of three and very proud grandmother of two has been singing since the age of 13.

By the time Lise was 14 she joined her first choir in her hometown of Hammar, Norway. She went on to perform, tour and record 10 albums with a variety of groups and choirs prior to becoming a part of the OGC.

Lise works in a private healthcare clinic where she handles a variety of duties. She lives in Oslo, but has a passion for her summer house on the beach of a lake north of Oslo, where she spends as much time as her busy schedule allows. When not there, working or performing, one might find her taking part in another favourite pastime: Mountain climbing. Lise isn’t your typical grandmother!

But it’s the people and music of the OGC that take her to musical heights. “To be a part of this little community has given me SO much joy, so many challenges – such faith and blessings that words cannot describe it,” she says. She loves to tour and has a message for all the OGC fans around the world: “Thank all of you out there for being a part of the OGC family!”
